Primary Purpose

Coordinate instructional programs in Math/Science courses to ensure that the district’s programs are following the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the district’s scope and sequence, curriculum documents, and district philosophy. Coordinate and monitor instructional processes which ensure the alignment of district goals, objectives, strategies and identified student needs.  (Grades 5 - 6)

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate

Valid ESL certification required

Elementary Certification preferred

Master’s Degree required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff development

Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teacher effectiveness

Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of TEKS for grades 5-6

Experience:

Five years successful classroom Math/Science teaching experience

 

Wage/Hour Status:  Exempt

Pay Grade:  60
